Hit Points
Okay, my worst nightmare came true and I did hit someone on the head...I'm so sorry, Will! (I doubt you'll ever read this, but I'm sorry anyway.) Seriously though, how do you manoeuvre past two saxophone players who are five feet apart while doing a ballet leap-thing? I'm more surprised it didn't happen before now, actually. Anyway, that's one trumpet major, one saxophone player, one trumpet (the actual instrument...yes, I hit one of those as well), and two fellow Guardie members that I've run into so far. According to the Riverside Colour Guard Hit Point System, I'm up to about thirty-five points. Go me.

I found a baseball cap to wear, so the sunburns are a bit better, though my face still looks like a raccoon-patterned mask. I'm supposed to be a phoenix, not a raccoon! *Pouts*

Oh, yes, I even had a dream about marching last night. Yup, this is how bad it's getting. I was marching, in my sleep, nonstop. I am now also starting to get into the habit of matching my steps with everyone around me, and counting my steps as I walk. Anyone else find that extremely freaky?

Learned more flag work today also...about another seventy-some counts, perhaps? No idea... Guardie Instructor has threatened Guardie Captain before leaving today that if we don't have it all memorized by tomorrow then something bad will happen. Guardie captain then proceeded to implore yours truly to practice further tonight. Never mind that my body's already been pushed to the limit form all that lovely tip-toed marching either.

Ah well, no point in complaining...better go practice now.

Meh, Will is used to getting hit with things...so don't worry about it too much. As for the manuevering part, you do it very carefully.

The matching of the steps I do all the time, but not the counting part...o.O''
